Inktober 2017 – Day Thirty

Inktober 2017

So being Halloween and all, I had to pick a Halloween costume. I decided to combine a idea I had for a mystery character for my story and kinda do that. Plus it was a combination of what I did last year.

Day 30, The Arachno Children

So for Halloween this year, I improvised my costume, similarly like last year. On the far right was last year’s Halloween, and on the left is this years. This year I decided to jazz it up a bit with some fangs and go like a spider lab experiment thing. I’m not sure what I was but it fit really well with this title. So I’m going to use my own pictures as reference today.

For where I go the inspiration from for the SFX, Link Here. Glam’n’Gore does the best SFX in my opinion.

I’m not sure how the characters will relate to the entire story as a whole, but I have an idea for where they will make a few entrances. Now I just needed a pose. I had an idea, just needed to find what was in my head on Pinterest.

The use of space in this photo allows the subject to stand out.
Originally I wanted full body straight on, however, this worked a lot better than I had previously planned out. Link Here.

The Drawing

I started by drawing a soft sketchy outline of what I wanted, with a 4B. This allowed me to change things very quickly by just redrawing over and over.

I then added in details with a fine point pigma pen 05.  I also decided to keep the original pencil in as I feel like it added in the depth within the sketch that I wanted to achieve. Giving a soft but precise feel about it.

I REALLY like the outcome for this. It came out so much better than I expected, as well as probably being the spookiest thing out of all the Inktober things, which is kinda a plus thinking date wise. Last one now.

Until Next Time.
